JOURNAL
From BitLeaf.
Engineering notes, research, company thinking and perspectives on the technologies we are exploring.
WHY WE WRITE
A record of the thinking behind the work.
The Journal is where BitLeaf will share considered writing about engineering, research and the choices involved in building technology. It is distinct from a product announcement feed. A good article should help a reader understand a technical decision, a question we are examining or a perspective shaped by real work.
BitLeaf is at an early stage. The archive will grow as specific work gives us something useful to say, so there is no publication schedule to fill for its own sake. The first entries will appear when the ideas and evidence are ready.
POSSIBLE FORMATS
More than announcements.
Future writing can take different shapes depending on the question and the evidence available.
EDITORIAL STANDARD
Useful beats frequent.
Publishing should make the work clearer, not merely make the site appear active.
Specific and attributable
Articles will be grounded in real questions, decisions or observations, with enough context for a reader to understand why the subject matters. A note should earn its place here through clarity, not the appearance of activity.
Clear about uncertainty
Where an article explores an early idea, it should distinguish what is known from what is proposed. If the answer changes as work develops, the record should be updated rather than quietly implying certainty.
